Ugh…  I’m getting so bored.  I haven’t found another job yet, so I’m not doing much with my days.  I have started experimenting with baking, tho!  you can find those experiments at http://kbkbakery.wordpress.com.  I’m doing this with my friends Beth and Karoline (hince the KBK business )  I have one wedding cake in September, but I don’t have any others planned… (see them at http://www.cassadyweb.com/K&KCreations.html!)  I started classes at UL yesterday, so that will give me something to do for a while.  I’m hoping that I might get a classroom during the school year, but I’m not holding my breathe for that!  ttyl!

I’m getting the itch to go to New Orleans again.  I haven’t been there in 3 years and it’s about time I went back!  God, I love that city, or more specifically, the French Quarter.  it’s such a beautiful area.  The residential mixed in with the bars, the history, Jefferson Square, and of course Bourbon Street.  There is just something about that city.  I love to walk there.  I don’t know what it is, but I’m content when I’m there.  I thought about moving there, but I’d only want to live in the French Quarter and I’m sure i would not be able to afford it.

I think I’ll go after Christmas.  Most of my friends are off work that week after Christmas so we could all go, like we did last time.  I can’t wait to see the Spanish moss in the trees, to walk the streets, to see everything that is New Orleans again.

Well, this is the first blog I’ve ever had…  no idea what to write really.  I’ve never really been the *diary* kind of person.  My mother always said, “If you don’t want people to read it, don’t write it down”, but i suppose this is a different concept since the idea is *for* people to read it.

Let’s see… an intro to me…  i’m 31 years old (almost 32), married, trying to start a family, a teacher, and trying to start a wedding cake business.

 i’ve been making wedding cakes for about 4 years on the side, just as a hobby.  I love to bake and once I took a cake decorating class from Wilton I was hooked.

 Maybe I’ll turn this into a baking blog.  My life isn’t that interesting so maybe i’ll just go with food, heh.
